Lightweight 4-Bike Platform Rack That Works With Kids Bikes

Hello. I’m looking for a platform hitch bike rack that meets the following criteria: 4 bike capacity Easy to remove/install due to small garage Allows hatch access when loaded e.g. tilt Lightweight as possible, to facilitate the removal I will be using it with a mix of kids and adult bikes. Does it exist? Thank you!

Okay, so we have a couple options for a 4-bike platform hitch rack that is going to work with kids' bikes, and the feature I'm going to focus on here is "lightweight." For that, by far the best option is from Hollywood Racks:

- Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # HR4000

The Destination is going to be the easiest 4-bike platform rack to handle by a long shot, and the reason for this it weighs just 42 lbs. This is at least 20 lbs lighter, and in some cases, 40 or 50 lbs lighter than other 4-bike platform racks so it is going to be far less of a chore to install and remove in your garage. It is also a frame-mounted bike that has sliding wheel trays, which means it will be able to accommodate kids' bikes.

The only thing it does not have that you were wanting is a tilt-away feature; it does fold up when there aren't bikes on the vehicle or to make it easier to store when it is off your vehicle. If you are able to live without the tilting feature, I would definitely go with the Destination # HR4000.
