Availability of Air Helper Springs For 2020 Ford Edge

Updated 02/15/2021 | Published 02/11/2021

Question:

I dont see any light duty helper springs available for the 2020 Ford Edge AWD. I tried AL60732 Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs - Rear purchased from etrailer but they were too fat to fit the inside coil diameter. Will FV4175 fit? It looks like the bags are longer and skinner. How do they compare dimension-wise to AL60732 bags?

Airlift does offer the Airlift 1000 Air Helper Springs in universal applications. So you might be able to find some air helper springs to fit your 2020 Ford Edge.
It does require you to take some dimensions of your coil spring to get the correct fit. Use the following few simple steps to match your ride up with the perfect custom application:
First, unload your vehicle to make sure it's at normal ride height. Then, measure the inside height of your coil spring, which will be from the upper spring seat to the lower spring seat. Lastly, measure the inside diameter of the spring at its widest point.
Once you have these measurements, use the table at the bottom of the product page of one of the Airlift 1000 Universal part numbers (#AL60900 to #AL60927) to find the correct kit by matching up your diameter and height values. For an example you can use #AL60917. This part number shows minimum diameter of 4-1/2 inches and a maximum height of 10 inches. If this will not work for you just fine the correct part number that match your measurements.
Since the air spring cylinder will inflate, it's okay if the cylinder is slightly undersized compared to the size of the coil spring. Additionally, some kits include spacers to make up for any height differences.

The dimensions for the springs in the #F4175 kit are 8-3/4 inches tall x 3-1/2 inches wide.
