How To Determine The Correct Replacement RV Electric Fireplace For My RV

Updated 10/13/2025 | Published 02/03/2021

Question:

We need a replacement for our RV Furrion electric fireplace. How do I measure it for the size? Do I measure the outside glass or the cutout area? Outside is 39.5, what might you have to replace it?

To determine the correct RV fireplace to replace your current Furrion electric fireplace you will need to know the cutout dimensions.

For example the Furrion RV Electric Fireplace with Logs # FF40SW15ABL has an overall width of 39-7/16" meaning it is nearly the exact same width as your current fireplace, but it requires a cutout that is 35-3/16" wide x 17-3/4" tall x 4" deep if you are mounting it in a wall, or a cutout that is 38-5/16" wide x 17-3/4" tall x 6-1/4" deep if you are mounting it in a cabinet.

If you can provide the dimensions for your cutout I would be happy to recommend a fireplace that is confirmed to fit.

I included a video of the Furrion # FF40SW15ABL for you to take a look at.

@WalterD if you are wanting to mount in a cabinet. Here are the specs for both a wall cut out and a cabinet cut out. Wall cutout: 35-3/16" wide x 15-13/16" tall x 4" deep Cabinet cutout: 38-5/16" wide x 17-3/4" tall x 6-1/4" deep Overall dimensions: 39-7/16" wide x 17-3/4" tall x 6-1/4" deep
