Dear etrailer.com, I am looking at Malone BigFoot or Thule Portage to carry my Pelican Bass Raider 10e boat. Its ~145lb and 50 wide, 10 long. My car is a Toyota Highlander with factory roof rack and cross bars. Would appreciate your advice on whether if any of these items will work for my need. Unfortunately, a trailer is not an option for me at the moment. Thank you in advance!

Since the mounting hardware of the Thule Portage part # TH819 is much easier to use than the Malone BigFoot # MPG112MD I would recommend it highly for your boat and 2013 Toyota Highlander with factory crossbars. This rack fits your vehicle and also has the capacity needed for your boat as well.
