2 Bike Platform Rack That Offers Easy Bike Loading Without Excessive Lifting

Question:
Regarding Saris freedom 2 platform bike rack. Can you load the first bike closest to the vehicle with the center down tube in the down position and then bring the down tube to the upright position. The video shows the user having to lift the bike over the down tube to place it in the tire channels. I am a short person without a lot of strength it takes to lift the bike over the upright tube Thank you

The Saris Freedom 2 Bike Tray Style Hitch Carrier # SA4412B does feature a mechanism that allows the center tubing to fold out in order to gain access to the trunk space.
You could definitely fold that down to make loading the bike easier, you just might have to tilt the bike slightly to one side in order to pull the tube back up without coming in contact with the bike.
I did find a 2 bike rack that is easier to load/unload bikes. The RockyMounts SplitRail LS 2 Bike Rack # RKY11404 has a folding feature that allows the bike to easily be loaded, and then the wheel mount hook can be swung over to lock the wheel. I am attaching a video showing this easy process.
