Question:
Hi, I am looking for a hitch for my 2003 honda element that I can use for a cargo basket. Which hitch would be a good option.

I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13574 because of the heavy duty powder coating that Curt puts on their hitches, which will help prolong the life of the hitch. This hitch will give you a 2" receiver that is perfect for carrying a cargo basket like the 60x19 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding-500 lbs # C18100, which will fit in the 2" Curt hitch and is a light weight carrier that is perfect for vehicles with low tongue weights.
It looks like the Element has a 150-lbs tongue weight capacity, so you will want to make sure that you don't load more than 150-lbs (combined carrier and gear) on the hitch. This carrier weighs 29 pounds so you will be able to load 121 pounds of cargo. I do recommend checking the owner's manual to confirm this capacity but you will be limited to the capacity of the lowest rated component in your setup, which appears to be the vehicle itself.
I've linked some installation and review videos of these parts for you to have a look at.
