Can this unit be used between a motorhome and a tow vehicle?

I have another option but the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 cannot be used to power the brakes to your flat towed vehicle. The Echo # C51180 is designed to send a brake signal to electric trailer brakes, which is a vastly different system than the pedal operated hydraulic brakes on vehicles.

Instead you will need a supplemental braking system, which I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR due to it being able to be easily removed when you are done flat towing, and reinstallation is very easy when it is time to set your vehicle up to flat tow again.

The Patriot # BLU37TR uses an arm that manual engages the brake pedal of your towed vehicle in proportion to the braking intensity you applied to your motorhomes brakes.
