Will a Fiberglass Camper Work With 220 Lb Weight Capacity of Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for Campers

Question:

I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD extended cab with 6 foot bed and Ranch brand truck cap. I want to know if the Ranch Sierra cap can support the Rhino Rack: Y02-480B-ST system. Is that type of fiberglass cap thick enough to support the 220 pounds, etc.

The Rhino-Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack for Camper Shells part # Y02-480B is a great option for fiberglass truck bed campers as it was made for this exact purpose. It can support up to 220 lbs but bear in mind this rating is tested independently of the camper shell since there isn't just one it will work with. Therefore, in order to determine how much weight you can carry you'll need to reach out to the camper top manufacturer and see what they recommend. I would not be able to advise on this for any particular one unfortunately.
