Question:

I am replacing the leaf springs on an old boat trailer. I have selected Slipper leaf springs 1 -3/4 inch SP177275 but I am uncertain on U-Bolt selection. A mounting plate is already welded to the 1 1/2 inch square axle. I have selected U-Bolt mounting kit CE23102 as the closest I could find on your web site. Am I on the right track or is there a better choice to mount these springs? Thanks.

You have done your homework because you are on the money with the correct U-bolt kit to mount the 2-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Radius End for 1,000 lb Trailer Axles - 24-5/8" Long # SP-177275.

The kit you mentioned, the CE Smith U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 1-1/2" Square Trailer Axles # CE23102 will work wonderfully for this application so you're all set.
