Does the Thule Helium Platform Rack Fit on a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Question:

I like the Thule Helium Platform Rack, but my 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 has its hitch back behind the bumper. Will it fit?

When checking for bumper clearance, you need to measure from the hitch pin hole of your hitch to the end of your bumper. Compare that with the hitch pin hole to closest point of bike rack measurement of the bike rack itself and that will give you an idea of if it will fit your car or not.

I actually test fit the Thule Helium 2-Bike Platform Rack # TH44VR on a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300. It installed fine and I could load bikes on it BUT I saw there was some contact when I tried to fold the rack up. The wheel mounts themselves slightly touched the bumper, as you can see in the attached picture. The exact clearance will depend on what kind of hitch you have, but in this case it was not a fit.

After trying a couple of other bike racks on there, the bike rack with the most bumper clearance and the best fit was Kuat NV 2.0 # NV22G. I highly recommend this rack since it's a great premium rack with all the features you'll need for your bike rack. It can also be expanded up to 4 bike racks with # NA22G.
