The gray cap of the # A01-1117VP is threaded so you'd need to start by unscrewing it so that you can access the internal components of the # A01-1117VP to rebuild it with the kit # A01-1112.

I contacted the Tech Rep for this product, the Valterra Adjustable Water Regulator for RVs, #A01-1117VP. He stated that incoming water pressure will of course have an affect on the rating but, you can expect an approximate flow rate of about 12 GPM.
