Video Transcript for All You Need to Know About the Kwikee SuperSlide I RV Storage Slide Out Tray Assembly

Hi, Steven here with etrailer.com. Glad you joined me today. Today we're taking a look at the Kwikee SuperSlide I RV Storage Slide Out Tray Assembly 54 inches long. Let's get into it. These rails form a slide out tray for your RV or camper's cargo compartment. And they're gonna give you the ability to store camping gear, hiking gear tools, power cords, stuff like that, and anything else you wanna store pretty much.

They do require a carpeted covered plywood, which is not included for your bottom here rectangular shape. They're gonna fit RV compartments that are at least 54 inches deep. You can go longer than that, but you do need at least 54 inches deep for that to work. Once you get this fully assembled and installed correctly, it's gonna be able to hold 1000 pounds. So really, really durable, can hold a lot of weight.

The slide and design is gonna eliminate the need for you to crawl into your dirty or cramped compartments. The spring loaded latch up here, it's gonna lock the rails into the stowed position like I've got it now and that's gonna prevent it from sliding out while you're traveling. The SuperSlide I one does have an integrated spring loaded latches. It's gonna lock into the rails in the stowed position. 1/3 position extended and 2/3 position extended so that you can load or unload your cargo without having to worry about the tray popping out by itself.

I'm gonna try to show you here. It's locked, I'm gonna unlatch it. I can't go all the way out just 'cause of limitation of the studio, but as you can hear, it's locked right now in the 1/3 position. Then to close it, you simply pull the latch level, spring load it. You can let go, push your stuff back in.

It's gonna gently slide and latch closed. Boom, pretty simple. It does come with two base brackets, two slide assemblies, and the two support brackets you see here. And also a set of instructions. So again, it's not gonna come with any kind of like plywood, 2x4's, carpet finish, or you know, any kind of screws as far as that kind of stuff. You will have to source that locally for yourself. As far as install, it's pretty simple. What you're gonna do is install the brace brackets to your car compartment. Then you're gonna make sure that they're 2-1/2 inches away from the compartment door. So again, 2-1/2 inches away from the compartment door. You may have to drill to install these and depending on your setup, your particular camper or RV you may have to raise these base brackets up to give you some clearance, and you'll just do that simply with a 2x4 or something like that, which again is not included. And then you would install the carpeted wood onto the bottom of these slide assemblies, again with some hardware that's not included. And then to determine the size of your bottom tray you want, you're basically gonna measure the distance inside the slide assemblies, the flanges, and subtract 2-1/2 inches again, giving that clearance. And then for our finished look, you wanna mount the support brackets to either end of the wood bottom, and then lastly, just simply slide the assembly tray onto the brackets. Then you're done. Well, again, I wanna thank you for joining me today. This has been great. My name again is Steven here with etrailer.com. Thank you so much for your time. I look forward to seeing you again in the future.

  • Cargo Slide Tray that will Work in a 44 x 60 Storage area.
I reached out to Lippert to confirm and the Kwikee SuperSlide Tray Assembly with Trim Kit for RV Cargo Compartment part # LC370769 is adjustable as far as width goes. It is up to you to choose how wide you want the tray to be. Some will choose to have one large tray where as others would want separate trays. With your storage area being 60" I prefer the part # LC370769 which is the 54" because it will give you a little space between the door and the tray. If your prefer to maximize the...
