Will High Altitude Jet # FIR77FR Fit the 171cc Firman W02981?

Question:
I have a 3300/2900 watt firman w02981 gas generator. Not dual fuel. 171cc . Will this jet fit? I am using this generator at 8400ft elevation and it occasionally shuts off, I believe it is fuel delivery/jet related. Doesn’t shut off when tested at 4800ft elevation at home.

There are some solutions for your problem, but the High Altitude Jet # FIR77FR is for dual-fuel generators only. I contacted Firman, and they recommended # 333-330717003 for use with your W02981 generator. This is listed for use at 6,000' - 8,000', but this is not a hard cutoff. Since you're only 400' higher, you shouldn't have any issues, but Firman recommends you periodically check the spark plug and spark arrestor to make sure there is not excess carbon build up.
