want to buy a bike rack for 2 e-bikes. Would like the Thule XT2. However says will go only for 1.25 or 2inch receivers. How can I make this work so I dont have problems?

This is simple fix. You'll just need a hitch reducer that will shim the 2-1/2 inch receiver down to 2 inches. I'd recommend using part # BWRHXA2182 from B&W. What I really like about this reducer are the pinches placed in the end of the adapter that ensures the adapter won't slide into the 2-1/2 inch receiver so far that the hitch pin holes won't line up.
