Correct Thule Fit Kit for a 2015 Toyota Prius

I have a 2015 Toyota Prius four doors with a hatch back and a smooth roof with no factory installed roof racks. I have a Thule roof rack with all the components necessary that fit my previous car: Toyota Matrix. I’m told the “towers” for this roof rack will not fit my Prius. it is very confusing to work out just which kit will accommodate my Prius. Please advise. Thank you

The correct fit kit for your 2015 Toyota Prius is # TH145001. These fit into the Thule Evo Clamp towers # TH710501.
Your Toyota Matrix probably used Rapid Traverse Feet or "towers" like # TH480R. The Rapid Traverse line was discontinued by Thule and replaced with the upgraded Evo Clamp towers. So while the Traverse towers would've worked with your Prius, the actual fit kit for the towers to fit your car which were part THKIT1566 are no longer being made by Thule.
Unless you can find an old version of the Traverse fit kit somewhere, your best option is to upgrade your towers to the Thule Evo Clamp Feet # TH710501 and get the # TH145001 fit kit for your Prius. You still use your bars from your previous rack. I attached a video reviewing the Evo Clamp Feet if you want to see the design upgrades compared to the previous Rapid Traverse feet.
