Will Fan-Tastic Roof Vent with Automatic Lid Work with Vent Cover

Question:
We have an RV with a Fan-tastic Automated Vent, we bought a MaxxAir II Vent Cover - if we use this Vent Cover or even a Fan-tastic Vent Cover will the height of the cover affect the vent opening motor? Since both of these covers are less than the height of the actual vent domes total opening. In your QandA Section, Heather A mentions it wont affect the vent fan motor, but is the opener mechanism a different motor or the same as the fan motor? ?? Dont want for the opener mechanism to burn up.

This question comes up pretty often but when we've spoken with our roof vent manufacturers they've told us that the lid will stop trying to open if it encounters resistance so the lid will still open far enough to function.
