Testing Battery Charger of Progressive Dynamics PD4060K and Replacing Converter

Question:
How do I test to see if battery charger is working and would I have to replace the entire converter would be a big job?. Also can this charger handel sealed 212v batteries, there were regular standard 212v batteries Original equipment that were removed? Thanks for the help.

Expert Reply:
If put a voltmeter on the leads that run to the battery you should see the voltage increase when the converter is powered. To replace just the converter section of it you'd just want the part # PD4060CSV and you'd be set. It's not a difficult install at all.
