Will 25-1/4 Inch 5,000 lb Leaf Springs Work for Old Springs That Measure 26 Inches

Question:
Refr: Open Range Travel Trailer, model Roamer 291RLS. I want to replace all 4 leaf springs on my tandem axle trailer. The axles are rated at 4400#, eye to eye appears to be 26”. I want to upgrade to a higher weight rating. Would the 25 1/4” 5000# leaf springs be an appropriate choice? Thanks!

You can use the 25-1/4" 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 5,000-lb Trailer Axles # e44SR to replace your current leaf springs that measure 26" from eye to eye. What happens is that leaf springs will stretch out and flatten over time.
So if your springs now measure 26" the shorter springs will be what you need.
