Is Curt A25 5th Wheel Head Compatible With Legs of Curt A16 for 2020 Ford Super Duty Prep Package

Question:

I currently have the A16 which I see is compatible. However, thinking of buying the A25 hitch head later on and wanted to know if it was also compatible? Also, can you buy the A25 hitch head separate from the legs? That may make my decision pretty easy...

The answer to all of your questions is yes! They are compatible and you can buy the hitch head separately if you like.

The Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Ford OEM Legs # C16520-16017 uses the exact same legs as the Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ford Towing Prep Package # C16036, which are the Curt OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch Legs for Ford Super Duty Towing Prep Package # C16017.

If you wanted to upgrade to the A25 all you need to do is get the head unit, which is available separately with the Replacement Head Unit for Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16580.

That's it! Just get a new head unit and you have yourself what amounts to a brand new hitch.
