Availability Of Antenna Extender For Furrion Vision S+ Camera System

Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 12/10/2025

Question:

Does the Furrion S+ system have a good compatible antenna extender? The picture goes in and out for the cameras that are farther away. Preferably a wired antenna.

Hey Jason, thanks for reaching out. At this time Furrion does not offer an upgraded or extended-range antenna for the Vision S+ camera system # FR74AD. The only antenna available is the standard one that comes with the system, and there is not currently a wired extension option.

That said, the Vision S+ has generally performed very reliably in real-world use, even on longer or larger RVs. Most customers see a practical signal range of around 100 feet, and the system is designed to maintain a stable picture even at highway speeds. In many cases when the image cuts in and out, the cause ends up being camera placement, obstructions on the RV, or interference from other electronics rather than antenna limitations. Once everything is positioned correctly the connection is usually solid.

Do you have a Vision S+ system already?

Hi Jesse, Yes, I have the Vision S+ system (3-cameras + added another sharkfin camera) and the 7-way adapter to the truck. I've seen the previous posts with lots about the plug, so that was helpful. I just started hooking the cameras up, and noticed the turn signal camera works fine, but the shark fin in the trailer cuts in & out. My concern is that I haven't hooked up the rear camera which is even further away. I am also under a metal carport right now, so I'm hoping that it what is causing the issue. I had heard some people had added/changed the antenna. So, I was seeing if there were any available addons to avoid signal loss on the road.

@Jason The metal carport could definitely be a major factor here. Those structures can reflect or block wireless signals, so testing the system outside in the open is a great next step. I’d recommend completing the installation and then taking the trailer out where you have a clear line of sight to see if the signal becomes consistent. Once everything is fully hooked up, including the rear camera, you might find the system stabilizes on its own. The Vision S+ relies heavily on the placement and angle of each antenna, so having the full setup installed can make a noticeable difference. As for add-ons, Furrion doesn’t currently offer a wired antenna or an upgraded extended-range antenna for the S+ system, and I haven’t come across a third-party wired option that uses the same connection. Also, just out of curiosity, what RV do you have exactly?

@JesseM It works! Pulled out of the carport. And it seems to work fine. The true test will be on the road. Do you know if the Vision S+ solely works on the provided monitor? Are the cameras able to sync up to the trucks monitor? Thanks Jesse! 2025 Grand Design Momentum 350G

@Jason Ok awesome! Glad to hear getting it out of the carport helped with the signal. Yes the Vision S+ will only work with the provided monitor. There would be no way to sync it with the monitor in your truck.
