Triangle on Blue Ox Patriot Braking System Monitor Doesnt Show When Braking

Question:
Hi, I’ve confirmed that when I push the manual brake button on the rf controller that it does engage the brake on the patriot system in my tow car however, I just went on a short test drive and when I push the brakes in the motorhome, the triangle on the rf controller doesn’t show any braking. I don’t have any error codes and the system itself seems to be working other than not seeing anything in the triangle. Any ideas?

In regards to the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System part # BLU37TR, the brakes won't engage on the tow vehicle each time you apply the brakes in the motorhome. The unit has a proportional design so if you are sitting still then it won't apply or if you are just doing some slow speed braking. If you are doing a lot of slow speed braking and do need the brakes to kick on sooner then turn the setting up on the unit to increase sensitivity.
