I bought a new set of rails for my 2003 dodge short bed 1500 and seems like the instructions got missplaced. is there any way to get a copy of them I do not know the distances to install also my truck is a single cab.

There are several different 5th wheel trailer hitch installation kits for a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 short bed, see link.
There is semi-custom kit # RP30035-023 and # C16303-200.
There are also custom kits: # RP50040-58 and # C16419-204.
