Question:
Recently repacked wheel bearings. I can hear magnets hum, wheels stop spinning when of the ground but don’t stop trailer drive vehicle in idle and drive. Before repacking, controller set at 7 stopped trailer and vehicle easily at idle. What happened?

Expert Reply:
When pulling the hubs off of a trailer and repacking the bearings you will inevitably unseat your brake shoes. Using the Brake Adjustment Spoon for Drum Brakes part # W80630 will allow you to make a slight adjustment to the brakes to tighten them up a little bit at a time until you see the desired result.
Another cause could ba a weak ground but that is unlikely the issue.
