Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are (also called bolt holes)
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this aluminum AM08 series Black Machine trailer wheel. Now if you're looking for a solid wheel for a light duty trailer, like a small utility trailer or boat trailer, this 13 inch by four and a half inch aluminum wheel is gonna be a great option for you to consider. So this is sized perfectly for your compact trailers. It's not oversized or heavy.
It's still rated to handle up to 1,740 pounds. So that makes this more than capable for light hauling and small trailer builds. Now one of the big advantages is the aluminum construction. And so this is going to obviously be naturally corrosion resistant, so you're not gonna have to worry about rust like you would with steel wheels. And since it's not just painted steel, there's no finish that can chip off over time.
This is gonna hold up especially well in wet conditions like around boat ramps. Now from a fit fitment standpoint, this does use the common four, I'm sorry, five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. So again, one, two, three, four, five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you are trying to determine how to measure that bolt pattern on this product page, on the lower half of this product page, we do have step-by-step instructions that you can follow to measure your bolt pattern to make, to make sure that this wheel is going to fit for you. So this is going to work with a wide range of standard five lug trailer hubs.
This is designed for half inch by 20 wheel bolts, which is a typical trailer lug size. And this does not include a center cap, but if you decide to pick one up, you just wanna make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 3.19 inches. As for appearance, this does have a really great glossy black finish with this machined split spoke accent. So the machined areas are really going to pop out against the black, giving this a clean upgraded look so that instead of that basic trailer wheel appearance. And again, since it's aluminum, you're gonna get that sharp styling without adding unnecessary weight.
