Question:
You have the pivot bolt but you don't have the nut for it. I am unable to tell if the bolt is the problem or the nut is bad. I can only thread the nut on about 6 threads, so I need to replace both the nut and the bolt. Can you sell me the nut with the bolt?

The Replacement Pivot Bolt for Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes - Qty 1 # RM-350800-00 as you stated does not come with any additional hardware. Currently the only way to get the bolt and nut is to get the Roadmaster Tow Dolly Ramp Wear Strip and Spacer Plate Replacement Kit # RM-2000-25 which will give you the bolt, washers, and nut along with a few other parts. Unfortunately I can't open a kit to offer you just the bolt and nut.

I own a Roadmaster RM 3477 tow dolly. My question is around relubricating or replacing the friction plates. The only way to inspect or maintain them is to remove the pivot pin and locking nut. My question is about obtaining a new pivot bolt or at least the locking nut. One of etrailer's Expert Reply states, "the only way to get the (Pivot) bolt and nut is to get the Roadmaster Tow Dolly Ramp Wear Strip and Spacer Plate Replacement Kit (# RM-2000-25) which will give you the bolt, washers, and nut...". However, the pictures for the replacement kit (#RM-2000-25) do not show a pivot bolt, washer, and locking nut, just the friction plates and hardware for that. It does appear that etrailer sells the Pivot Bolt by itself, but does not include (or provide for ordering) a new locking nut to go with it. Why is that? Can etrailer please suggest where to find a matching replacement locking nut? Once a locking nut is removed from a bolt, the nylon component of locking nuts isn't really intended for reuse, especially in such an important place as a pivot pin on a tow dolly. Does etrailer know if Roadmaster sells the locking nut? Thanks for your help with this.
