Will this unit work with a six lug 15 inch wheel?

I would recommend you get a Fulton Hi-Mount Spare Tire Carrier # FHDSTC0101. This carrier will fit most 6 lug wheels with up to a 16-1/2 inch diameter so it should work well for your 15 inch wheel.
The Offset Trailer Spare Tire Carrier # DL22120 that you referenced will only work on trailer wheels up to 14 inches in diameter so it would not work for you.
