Question:

Optronics TLL56RK LED Light Kit. I ordered this kit which comes with a wiring harness that uses 20 Ga wire according to your QandA section. I need to tap into the correct wire to add a wire connection for a position light on each side at the front of my Big Tex 10 ft. trailer. Is the correct wire to tap the brown colored wires? The kit comes with three blue wire tap connectors which are for 14 - 16 Ga wire I believe. The kit uses 18 - 20 Gauge wire. It appears the three tap connectors are the wrong size. Do you agree/disagree and/or have any suggestion? Thanks

While I'm not sure which wire you are referring to that you need to tap in to, I can tell you the wire colors for the LED Combination Tail Light Kit # TLL56RK; the yellow is turn signal, brown is tail light signal, and white is ground.

The wires are 20 gauge and the splices are compatible despite, though if you want a tighter connection, you can use those or the Butt Connector - 22-18 Gauge # DW05743-10.
