Hey, C.J.!

Yes, The etrailer double eye spring part # e89FV would have the same specs as the Dexter 072-079-00, or part # DX74XR on our website.

What kind of trailer are you working?

Yes those 8000# springs worked great on the 7000# axles. I no longer have that camper. Our new camper has triple axles with 8K springs on 7K axles.

@GwendolynY A 2025 Brinkley G3500. I bought one replacement spring from E trailer to carry as a spare.

I installed these 8000# springs on 7K axles in October 2024. I have about 14k miles on them now with no problems. I was skeptical due to these costing roughly what 1 Dexter spring costs. I also noticed these are manufactured in China, however, Dexter also manufactures in China. I was in Plant City, FL, which has a Dexter warehouse, when I had to replace a broken 3500# spring. Dexter quoted me $218/per with a 4-6 week delivery. eTrailer had 4 new 4000# springs delivered to my site in 6 days. I would not hesitate to purchase again.

@ChicS Oh wow, I'm glad that we were able to get new springs to you while on the road. Where have you been traveling to recently?

The 8000 lb spring fit like a dream on my 7000 lb axle. Just make sure you get long enough U-bolts the first time, this was mistake. I needed them 3/4 inch longer, so I had to place an order for these. Was well the upgrade, highly recommend e trailer for all your trailer needs.

@Bob Thanks for mentioning the u-bolts. It's always good to check especially if the spring has more leaves than the older one.
