According to Blue Ox, the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1131 is only compatible with motorhome-mounted tow bars, so it will not work with your BX4212 car-mounted tow bar. We do have tow bars which will work, and for that I recommend the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates # e47ZR.
