I went out in the warehouse and measured the diameter of the holes in the # DL24110 mounting bracket and the round holes measured 3/8-inch in diameter and the oblong holes measured 3/8-inch by 3/4-inch. So, the largest diameter bolt you could use would be a 3/8-inch or M10 diameter bolt.

The owners manual of a Dutton-Lainson winch will say for maximum strength and safety a winch should be mounted with at least three, 3/8-inch or M10 bolts, washers, and lock washers.
