Question:

I am wanting to use this with with a Tepui Explorer Autana 3 roof top tent. I talked with Tepui about compatability with this rack and they said the weight is 140lbs. This one has a capacity of 165lbs. I am assuming this is more than enough, but wanted to be sure.

First things first you want to make sure that your rack has a dynamic weight capacity of at least the weight of the tent. Seems like you have already done the research which is GREAT!

The Malone AirFlow2 # MPG215 will meet the requirements for the tent, but it is cutting it close. I always like to overcompensate weight capacity whenever loading up accessories especially with heavier items like a Tepui Rooftop Tent # TH37HJ.

If you wanted to play it safe, you'll need a roof rack with a higher weight capacity. I see a lot of these tents being used with a platform rack, kind of like the Inno Roof Deck # INA510. This will give more support to your tent and will feel more sturdy.
