Features to know about

Keeps Your Trailer Level: 1" Rise or 2" Drop

Towing feels smoother when your trailer sits level behind you. This mount gives you both a 1" rise and a 2" drop, letting you match the height of your coupler without hassle. Whether used in the drop or rise position, it makes it easier to dial in that even setup that tracks straight and handles predictably.

Built for Reliable Strength: 8,000 lbs GTW Rating

When you’re moving serious weight, strength matters. This ball mount handles up to 8,000 lbs gross towing weight and 800 lbs tongue weight, giving you peace of mind for heavy loads like equipment or campers. The heavy-duty aluminum construction keeps it strong without extra bulk.

Corrosion Resistance That Lasts: Aluminum Shank - Silver

Road salt and rain can take a toll on steel gear. The solid aluminum build of this mount resists rust and corrosion while keeping a clean, bright finish. It’s tough enough for regular towing and stands up well to long trips or damp conditions.

Extra Length for Clearance: 9-3/4" From Pin Hole to Ball Hole

Sometimes a little more reach makes all the difference. With 9-3/4" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole, this mount gives you that extended length that can help with clearance between your truck and trailer accessories.

Straightforward Setup: Fixed Design That Stays Steady

No moving parts here—just a solid, fixed mount that slides right into your 2" hitch receiver. The ball platform has a 1" diameter hole ready for your choice of hitch ball, and a standard 5/8" pin keeps everything locked in place. It’s simple gear that does exactly what it should every time you tow.

Thanks for the way your company handles a sale....

by:

Just what I was looking for! After a year there are no rust stains or peeling chrome. Looks as good as it did when it was first installed. Would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their truck with that showroom look.

by:

4 stars due to arriving with scratches and Knicks in aluminum.... 20 minutes of polishing and it looks almost perfect. Weighs 4.45#. with a 2" ball it weight 7#. Nice light weight shin buster. Would have liked it to come without scratches/Knicks over it but it's made to haul and will get them with use anyway. Almost a perfect mirror finish, very attractive.

This stinger fits perfectly with my boat trailer and pickup. Having a bad back, the reduced weight is very helpful when removing and installing my Rock Tamer mud flaps. Shawnee was a huge help in determining what would work best for my application!!!

by:

ONE YEAR LATER!!! I love this ball mount. It is solid, it looks good (who cares?), it lifts the ball on my Durango to exactly the correct height. Towed a 5.8' trailer from WA to TX and the trailer trailed like a dream. BUY THIS if you need a lift.

by:

Nice and light and just long enough so that I can put my tailgate down while hooked up to the trailer.

Still doing its job and probably will be for many years to come.

by:

I had a 15 year old steel ball mount on my brand new car. Michigan winters had the ball mount looking pretty bad. I got this aluminum one with the thought it will hold up better. Aluminum will pit some, but at least not rust.

I am very impressed with it now that I have it. It is polished to a mirror finish and all the edges nicely rounded to minimize the leg damage when we walk into it loading the rear hatch. I got a stainless ball to go with it and they look great on the new car. I am very pleased with the appearance and function. It is a little pricey.

by:

Exactly what I was looking for. Perfect length, quality product, nice and light!

by:

I just received this hitch ball mount and haven't used it yet, but I did “mess” with it to gauge its sturdiness. Doing so, it seems like this thing will easily handle my motorcycle trailer with 500 lb. motorcycle. I love the color – it has a chrome-like appearance. And the weight is unbelievably light – I love it.

As far as the vender, etrailer, they are super-fast with shipping (from Missouri). I place my order at about 10:00 PM on a Thursday and my hitch ball mount was waiting for me (in Panama City, FL) when I got off of work the following Wednesday.

I’ll be buying form these guys again.

by:

Excellent quality and very fast service! I have ordered several items from etrailer and have always been well pleased! Thank you!

Ordered the wrong receiver and called the next morning. Talked with Dottie and she made everything so easy. Cancelled my original order and sent me the receiver I needed. Received my order a day earlier than projected. Thanks Dottie ! RM

I couldnt be happier. Still looks great unlike a painted steel receiver.

by:

This is quite a nice hitch, but noticed it is quite loose when put in the standard 2" hitch receiver on my Subaru. May need to figure out a way to shim it up, so it does not rattle....Maybe etrailer has some ideas. Good looking ball mount though, no denying that....just wish it had a snug fit!!

We do have several anti-rattle options that would snug this ball mount in your receiver hitch that I have linked below for your reference. Since yours is a solid shank the sleeve style would be best for your application. My recommendation would be one of the u-bolt styles like the Brophy # RSCP or the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061. I have linked those for your reference and the options that we have for sleeve style anti-rattle devices for a 2 inch hitch.

Still works awesome!

by:

Great looking product and fast service as usual. Now I can keep it clean and stored under my seat without the grease and rust issue. The ball mount with the 2" Brophy stainless ball and the Master Lock Pivot Hitch pin work perfect. Thanks, Garland R in Kentucky...…….

by:

Very nice ball mount. Smooth, one piece design. Unlike my previous ball mount, it's long enough (enough straight length between the pin hole and the beginning of the bend) to accommodate a Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II, yielding a nice, tight connection.

Attractive polished finish.

Made in Taiwan (according to the box it came in).

Photos show it attached to a Hidden Hitch Class III Hitch Receiver, secured with a Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II, and a Curt 40053 2-inch stainless steel ball.

by:

Second one I have purchased, the longer length is exactly what I need for my trailers. I bought a 2nd one, one for 1 7/8" and one for 2" and threw away my old rusty ones. I can say one bit of advice, purchase the Brophy SS ball with the 2 7/8" bolt length, the 2 1/8" works, but not much bolt thread protrudes from the nut. This ball mount is thicker than the steel ones probably to make up for it being aluminum. No more rusty parts, very happy.

  • Longer Ball Mount Recommendation with 1 inch Rise
The closest ball mount we have to what you are looking for is the Brophy Ball Mount part # EA20 which has a 1 inch rise and is 9-3/4 inches from the center of it's hitch pin hole to it's ball hole.

  • Is The Fulton 2 Drop Aluminum Ball Mount Made In The USA?
For a made in the USA aluminum ball mount we only have adjustable units like the Flash Secure 2-Ball Mount # DTALBM6400 which includes hitch balls as well. The Fulton # F97CR you found as well as the similar Curt # C74WR and Brophy # EA20 aluminum ball mounts are all made overseas. If you do not want an adjustable mount we do have the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount # AMSC2HD which is made in the USA. • Short Ball Mount Recommendation for a 2013 Volkswagen Touareg
Having a ball mount that is longer should not be an issue. It actually can provide more clearance when turning. The standard for a 2 inch ball mount is around 8 to 8-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. We currently offer several aluminum ball mounts for 2 inch hitches that have a 2 inch drop. Curt, # C74WR Brophy, # EA20 Fulton # F97CR

There are a couple options for extended ball mounts that fit 2 inch hitches and have extra length for clearance. • Recommended Ball Mount With 1 Rise For 2017 Nissan Frontier
Since your receiver height is 17" and your coupler height is about 17-18", you will be fine with a no-rise ball mount or a 1" rise ball mount. I recommend going with the Brophy Ball Mount - Aluminum - 8,000 lbs # EA20, which is 9-3/4" from center of hitch pin hole to center of ball hole and is also 1" rise / 2" drop. You will also need a hitch ball. For 1-7/8" go with # C40002, for 2" go with # 40038, for 2-5/16" go with # C40007. I have attached demonstration videos for the ball mounts...

  • Recommended Aluminum Ball Mount w/ 8,000 lbs Capacity
For an aluminum ball mount you will want the Brophy Ball Mount item # EA20. It has a comparable 1" rise, 2" drop, a longer 14" extension, and a 8,000 lbs capacity. This ball mount also fits a 2" hitch receiver. Depending on your coupler size you will either need a 2" Hitch Ball item # A-90 or a 2-5/16" hitch ball item # C40030. I also recommend using the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitch item # e98882 to secure your ball mount from theft. I have linked a review video...

  • Longer Ball Mount and Rise Hitch Ball Solution for Needing 1-1/2 inch Drop
The ball mount part # EA20 is 9-3/4 inches from pin hole to ball hole like you mentioned. We do have taller hitch balls like the part # C40033 which has an inch of rise built into the ball that would put you at 1 inch drop which is very close to the 1-1/2 inch drop that you need. It should be about perfect since the tongue weight of your trailer will most likely cause the suspension to sag slightly.

  • Is Rise Or Drop On Ball Mount Measurement Accurate
The rise or drop for a ball mount is measured from the top of the hitch opening to the base where the ball mounts on the drawbar. We have a few aluminum ball mounts that have a 1-inch rise like part # EA20, part # DTBM4200. These are made with tight tolerances so you can trust they are accurate. The hitch ball hole for both of these ball mounts is 1-inch diameter.

  • Corrosion Resistant Ball Mount Recommendation for 2 inches of Drop and 9-3/4 inch Length
I have something similar, but nothing exactly like you want since our stainless steel options are a bit limited. Instead you'd want the Brophy ball mount part # EA20 which is 9-3/4 inches from pin hole to ball hole, has 2 inches of drop and is aluminum which is corrosion resistant like stainless steel. Also this has an 8k capacity.
