Will the Swagman XTC-2 TILT 2-Bike Platform Rack Fit a 2012 VW GTI

I have a 2012 VW GTI hatchback. Im considering the Swagman XTC2 Tilt. Will the hatch clear with the bikes still on the rack? Also, the vehicle only allows a Class 1 hitch, for which I am looking at the Draw-Tite 24904. Will the Swagman XTC2 Tilt fit in the class 1 hitch?

The only trailer hitches available for a 2012 Volkswagen GTI are class I, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11000 is what I recommend since it offers the easiest installation. In order for the bike rack to be compatible, it must be rated for use on class I hitches. The Swagman XTC-2 TILT 2-Bike Platform Rack part # S64671 is only class II rated so it won't work. Instead, I recommend the Malone RunWay 2-Bike Platform Rack part # MPG2149 which should allow you to open the hatch with the rack tilted
