Is Battery Charge Line Kit RM-156-25 Needed if Fuses Are Removed to Flat Tow 2014 Honda CR-V

Question:

This article recommends both a battery charge line and a fuse disconnect kit. https://www.etrailer.com/question-309258.html 1 + 1 != 2 here if the only reason to pull the fuses is so the parasitic drain does not kill the battery on a long tow. Is there another reason the fuses need to be pulled?

Actually, rather than removing the fuse, you can simply override fuse # 19 in the interior fuse box (ACC RADIO fuse). You can use a Roadmaster FuseMaster, part # RM76511.

This disables that circuit that would cause the drain. Using the FuseMaster means you won't need to remember to remove the fuse before towing. You can just flip a switch and the circuit is disabled. I've linked to an install video showing the FuseMaster being insatalled on a 2014 CR-V.

If this is done, a charge line kit like the # RM-156-25 isn't really necessary, but doing so certainly wouldn't hurt.
