The Curt Echo # C51180 is kind of hit or miss when it comes to a motorhome on a Class A chassis because of both the length and the amount of solid things that can get in the way of the signal. With that being said, the Echo is designed so that if there is any interference it will stick with the last known settings you were using so you really only lose the manual override function when it disconnects.

Since there really isn't a defining way to know if it will work well with any specific Class A I recommend going with a hardwired brake controller like the Prodigy P2 # 90885 just so that it's one less thing you have to think about while you're on a roadtrip.

I'm not sure what motorhome or chassis you have, but you should be able to find some wiring for a brake controller like the P2 mentioned above. The wiring is typically located under the dash next to the steering wheel column or under the driver's seat. If you can let me know what motorhome chassis you have I can see if we know any specifics about where the brake controller connections would be.
