Dodge 5th Wheel Hitch Head Compatibility with Ford Super Duty

Question:
have a Ford super duty factory prep package. Taking top piece from a dodge hitch. Top piece is about 1 1/4 in to narrow on both sides to mount on a Ford base. What can I do to make it work so I dont have to buy a new top?

For your Ford Super Duty factory prep package you will need to use a compatible base. I'm not sure which hitch you are taking from a Dodge, but if it is the Mopar hitch then you will want the base legs # C16017. Each manufacturer has different base measurements but utilize the same heads. The Mopar hitch is a CURT Q20 or Q25 and will use these legs for the Ford prep package.
