The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550034 is big and weighs in at approximately 275 lbs. It will fit your 2018 Ram 2500 with the factory puck system but does require the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package # DM6099.
The adapter is about 90 lbs, putting the total weight to be in the 375 lb range, though the trade-off is that you get one of the best 5th wheel hitches in the industry, not to mention the one that is the most convenient. Using the Autoslide means never again having to get out of your truck in the sweltering heat or pouring rain just to make a turn, which is something nobody will miss doing.
All sliding 5th wheel hitches are going to have some large degree of weight to them due to their base requiring a large footprint, but there is a way to take the hitch out of your truck; you will need a hoist system like the Magnum Hoist with Winch for 2" Hitches # 310-VMH001 so you can attach the Demco 5th Wheel Lifting Bracket # DM6100.
