Thanks for the info Kyle, The trailer we just purchased has a 5th airborne sidewinder installed. I believe it is coming with a wedge part # 14-8759. I found a page online that said that wedge fits the pro series line of fifth wheel hitches. Will the 14-8759 wedge work for the Reese RP30047 hitch? Thanks

The B&W Patriot # BWRVK3200 will not work for your 2019 Ram 1500 with a 5-1/2 foot bed, and it is not recommended to use any 5th wheel hitch in a bed that short with Ramboxes. If you do, you will need a Sidewinder such as the Reese Sidewinder Fifth-Wheel Pin Box # RP34FR.

To find the correct Sidewinder what you will need to know is the manufacturer and model number of the pin box on your fifth wheel and match that with the correct replacement. For example, Sidewinder # RP34FR will replace Lippert 0719, 1621 and 1621HD, Fabex PB 600 Series. I have added a link to our entire selection for you as well.

As for the hitch and rails for your truck, the option I recommend is the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit with Base Rails # RP56018-53 and Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047.

If your 2019 Ram 1500 has the factory 7-way, for a 5th wheel wiring harness you can use the 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # 50-97-410.

Happy to help! And you are right that the wedge 14-8759, which is the same as part # 30850, is for certain model Pro Series hitches, but we do have the wedge for you. The Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047 will use the 5th Airborne Custom Wedge for Select Series Fifth Wheels # SWW-03.
