Question:

Is the receiver section solid steel or cast iron? Can I use other brand stingers and since 3 of the 4 receivers look to allow pass through if too long,? Appears the receiver in line with shank may be shallower and not be able to receive some stingers,? Thanks,

The 4-stacked receiver shank # 325-GH-304 as well as the 2-ball mount # 325-GH-031 included with the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2" Hitch - 7-1/2" Drop/Rise - 10K, part # 325-GH-314 are constructed of heavy duty steel.

You can most definitely use other brand ball mounts, or any hitch mounted accessory with a 2 inch shank. In regard to the receivers, as you mentioned, three of the four are open, while the fourth has the shank welded to the back of it. Most Class III ball mounts and hitch mounted accessories use (give or take 1/4 inch) the same standard hitch pin hole depth, so you shouldn't really have a problem, but I've attached a photo with all the dimensions on the shank for you to check out.
