How to Choose Correct Slide Out Awning for 2016 Forest River R-Pod 179

Question:

I want to order but not sure of my box width on the slide of my 2016 r pod model 179. It is currently in the shop

I wasn't able to find any information regarding the slide out box width on your 2019 R-Pod 179 travel trailer, so the only way to find this information would be to call the shop where it currently sits, or waiting until you get it back. Measuring the box width will only take a minute, so if call up there, someone should be able to run out and get that measurement for you.

Measure between the outside edges of both Slide-Out flanges and order the slide topper size that allows for total fabric coverage over the Slide-Out box (the fabric itself will measure 5” shorter than the complete awning width).

For example, a flange-to-flange slide out size of 64” (or 5’3”), as measured in the attached photo, will require an awning width selection of 6’ (5’7” Fabric), like # LCV000231482, for complete coverage
