Question:

Our 1985 Ford Econoline 350 28 ft. Class C motorhome does not have stabilizing jacks. Im used to the stability of jacks from my days with a pop up camper. I crawled under the rear and found 2 V-shaped brackets welded to the frame. Could scissor jacks or unijacks be used under the brackets to stabilize the camper? The entrance door is in the rear and the camper rocks when entering. Rocking is not bothersome when walking near the front of the camper. What rating would you recommend for scissor jacks ie 6000 or 10,000 lb. capacity per jack or for unijack 4,000 or 6,000 lb. capacity per jack. The jacks would not be used for any reason other than stabilizing the unit. If I get a flat, I have roadside assistance. Is there a solid rubber block with a V cutout that could be placed on top of the jack that would cradle the V shaped bracket?

On your 1985 Ford Econoline Class C I recommend using the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks part # UF48-979002 they will be a perfect match. The 24" of lift will work even in uneven terrain while camping. They will also make a world of difference when it comes to keeping everything steady and prevent all of the shifting you currently get. When using these they should be attached to your frame. When collapsed they are only 4 3/4" thick if you'll install these to the frame half way between the rear wheels and the rear of the motor home it won't pose an issue. Check out the video I linked of the installation it is very easy!

I shy away from the single drop legs they are more difficult to use and not as stable.

If you do not want to attach the scissor stabilizers to the frame my recommendation would be to use the Ultra-Fab Stackable Stabilizers part # UF48-979004 these will work for temporary type use like you were talking about. They require more work each time you use them which is why I would go with the scissor type.
