Can Plastic Trailer Fenders Be Painted

Can these plastic fenders be painted. If so, do you have a recommendation for the paint.

Plastic fenders like the CE Smity # CE19504 can be painted, but in order for the paint to adhere it's important to prepare the surface correctly beforehand.
Use some fine sandpaper to rough up the surface, be sure to hit every surface of the fender. Then, be sure to wipe down the entire surface of the fender with a rag and some rubbing alcohol to remove all traces of oil or dirt. Give the fender a coat of spray primer, followed by a couple of coats of Rustoleum outdoor spray paint. Allow the fender to dry completely between coats, and remember that multiple light coats are better than one or two heavy coats.
