Does Reese Goose Box Increase Chance of Trailer Hitting Truck Bed

Question:

I really like concept however, I am concerned about driving on uneven road where the trailer could potentially hit the bed of the truck. What is the likelihood of this occurring with this setup? With a traditional hitch, the roll is limited so I am very curious about the roll works with this design. Thank you.

Interesting question, but a Reese Goose Box is not going to increase the chance of the trailer hitting the truck bed (I assume you are referring to the top of the truck's bed sides) on uneven ground so long as you maintain the same clearance levels and recommended clearances for a level ride. You are still going to want 6 inches of clearance above the bed side to the trailer overhang. So long as you maintain that and are level, the Goose Box is not going to add to the likelihood of contacting the bed side as it does not give added movement compared to a traditional 5th wheel or gooseneck.

If you do go the route of the Goose Box, its easy to determine the correct one for your trailer. You simply need to know what pin box you currently have, which should be on a sticker or a plate somewhere on the pin box itself.
