Question:

I had a 2013 f150 61/2 ft bed now I have a 2016 f250 8ft. To install the 5 th wheel rail are there the same different from the tail gate as the 61/2 bed.

The proper location to install the front rail on the Curt 5th Wheel Installation Kit # C16424-204, for your 2016 Ford F-250 is 54-3/16 inches from the rear edge of truck box (to the rear edge of the front rail). This applies to both short and long bed trucks.

On the other hand, the front rail on the Curt 5th Wheel Installation Kit # C16448-104, for the 2013 Ford F-150 installs 50.938 inches, again measured from the rear edge of the truck box to the rear edge of the front rail, regardless of bed size.
