Question:
Before I go ahead and purchase this part, do you have any instructions on how to disassemble the current defective part? Much thanks

The manufacturer does not supply instructions with this part, So I disassembled one of our racks and here is what we have found.
On the back of the tubing cap where the cable is located there is a screw; please remove and save. Remove the black tubing cap. Save. On the end where the cable comes out there is a rivet holding the cable in the tubing; remove. Remove the old cable via the tubing. Replace the cable; be careful not to let the end fall past the end of the tube. Replace the rivet; this can be done with a rivet and rivet gun, or a screw. If using a screw, be careful to dull the end of sharpened point so the plastic protection on cable is not damaged. Replace black tubing cap and screw.
