Yes, the trailer hitch for a 2016 Mazda CX-5 is the same as the trailer hitch for a 2020 Mazda CX-5. That said, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13315 and etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98902 are currently (February 2020) the only confirmed fits for a 2019 Mazda CX-5. Furthermore, you can't reuse hardware if you are transferring the hitch from one vehicle to another so you will need the Replacement Hardware Kit for Trailer Hitches part # RHK.
If you will be towing a trailer then you will also need a trailer wiring harness and for this I recommend Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56377 which is a plug-n-play option. In order to complete your setup you can use the Ball Mount Kit part # 989900.
