Can Tekonsha Primus 35915 be Easily Replaced by Newer Version Primus TK90160

Question:
My 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 was purchased used and it currently has a Primus 39515 controller. The operation is OK except the manual activation test button apparently has a broken return spring and will not return to Off position if Manual button is pushed. My question is will the TK90160 mount in my existing 39515 bracket ? And will the same harness plug for the 39515 plug-and-play with the newer model TK90160 unit ?

Yes, the current Tekonsha Primus brake controller part # TK90160 will install using the same mounting bracket and wiring harness as what your current 39515 uses so it would be a really easy replacement.
