Troubleshooting Thule Key Not Working to Unlock Cylinder

Question:

the lock has engraved 2820 and i have a key with that number i locked it but will not open any recommendation,thanks

Based on the 2820 tumbler and key number matching up (along with the fact that you were able to lock it) you certainly have the correct key for your carrier. If you're not able to insert the key and turn it all the way to unlock the cylinder you might just need to give it a good cleaning.

You can use some standard lubricant like WD-40 to try and clean inside the lock. After you spray in the lubricant you can slide the key in to actually work it inside the lock core. After doing this a few times it should hopefully be cleaned out enough that it will work freely.
