Question:
I have a well built older trailer with no brakes and would like to upgrade to electric brakes. It has two mobile home axles on it and the measurements that I got for the CC of the springs is 77, and off of the faces 88. I would like to replace both axles, what do you have that can work? Thank you!

I have a solution for you, and it looks like you're aware that because these are mobile home axles, you will need to replace everything- the only caveat is that since the dimensions you provided are not standard, any axle you use will require some modifications. You will be able to use the Dexter # 8327812-EB which is an 89" long axle with 74" spring center to spring center; you will need to have the spring seats moved to match your 77" center on center location by a certified welder. I'll also note that your hub face to spring seat center measurements should be no less than 11.25" apart (distance from center of spring seat to hub face; both sides added together), so your 77" is going to be right on the cusp of the furthest you can relocate the spring seats without compromising the integrity of the axle.
The Dexter # 8327812-EB has EZ-Lube spindles that make sure that your bearings and hubs are easily greased when it comes time for maintenance, and comes with electric brakes with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. It looks like you're going to need to put new wheels on your trailer as well, so I would recommend going with the Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire # AM32161 which is a 14" wheel with Load Range D tires. This would give you an entirely new set of axles, wheels and tires.
If you wanted to switch your suspension out as well, which might be something to consider with all of these other changes, please let me know how long your leaf springs are and how they are mounted and I can help recommend an appropriately sized replacement spring, equalizers and hardware. You may also need a brake controller and wiring. If you can let me know what your tow vehicle is, I can help you find a brake controller, 7 way connector and possibly a plug in adapter for the brake controller to complete everything you'll need for your new electric brakes.
