Can You Balance The Tires Before Shipping Them

Updated 01/12/2026 | Published 01/11/2026

Question:

I have loaded in my cart a set of trailer wheels mounted on rims, but these dont mention balanced at all. For us this is important. Any way that I can request ading bead balanced before they go out? Thank you

Hey Dave,

Usually, trailer tires are not balanced with weights like car tires because if the trailer weight changes it can cause the weights to vibrate off. So what trailer tire and wheel manufacturers will do is line up the heavy spot in the wheel with the light spot on the tire to achieve some balancing.

We lack the equipment to balance tires here so if you want them to be balanced further you would need to take them to a local shop.

@EvanT yep! We offer some tire balancing beads from Counteract on our site. I linked the page to help you find them. What kind of trailer are you putting the tires on?

@JoshB It's a custom trailer we make for airports. My question is wholly this - If I order The pre mounted tires, can we (if yes then how at checkout) at the balancing beads. I don't want to de-mount them.

@Evan ahh gotcha, yes the balancing beads come with a kit to add them to your tire without demounting it from the wheel. I linked a video to one of our techs demonstrating how to do it. For checking out, you can leave your cart to add the beads from the link I attached in my last reply and it will keep your tires in there. So, after you have added the beads, you can check out with the beads and tires waiting for you!
